CONNECTICUT’S OLDEST FARMERS MARKET BEGINS 2021 SEASON IN DOWNTOWN HARTFORD

Hartford, Conn. – Connecticut’s oldest Farmers Market kicks off its 2021 season at Connecticut’s Old State House at 800 Main St., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 15. The Market continues Tuesdays and Fridays through October 29.

The Old State House Farmers Market is a vibrant marketplace in downtown Hartford where local farmers and artisans come together with the community to share the best of what Connecticut has to offer, including high-quality Connecticut-grown products and Connecticut-made handcrafted goods. The public is invited to browse the Market and support the vendors.

This year’s vendors include Beckett Farms, Gazy Family Farm, Granny’s Pie Factory, Grateful Paws, Baubles for Madels, Hartford Public Library on Wheels, and WIC, with more to come throughout the season.

Along with the Farmers Market, Tuesday will feature a performance by Connecticut State Troubadour, Nekita Waller at 12 p.m. on the East Lawn of Connecticut’s Old State House. The annual Summer Concert Series will host fifteen concerts this year on Fridays throughout the summer featuring Connecticut artists thanks to funding from the Evelyn Preston Memorial Fund and The Richard P. Garmany Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Find the full Summer Concert Series schedule and updates about weather-related changes on the Old State House Facebook page.

Located in historic downtown Hartford at 800 Main St., Connecticut’s Old State House served as a seat of government for the Constitution State from 1796 to 1878.
