  • Join us at one of our CHD contests to meet with students and assess their work in one of five project categories: documentary exhibit, research paper, performance, or website. Five Regional Contests take place in March and the State Contest on Saturday, May 3 at Central CT State University. 
  • CHD Contests are the culmination of research projects undertaken by students in grades 6-12 throughout the academic year - you will work on a small team to assess and rank projects, as well as provide constructive feedback.
  • This opportunity is great for someone who enjoys working with secondary students, works well collaboratively and enjoys learning. History expertise is not required for this position.
  • Training will be provided, and is required for this position. Some pre-contest preparation is required.

  • Volunteer needed to research the mission, programs, structure, and background organizations in other states that might be strong affiliate partners.
  • Ideal for someone looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity that they can do remotely and as their schedule permits.  
  • Ideal for someone who enjoys online research and preparing reports/summaries.
