Project Citizen

Project Citizen is a civic education program for participants (grades 5-12, post-secondary students, youth organizations, and adults) that promotes informed and responsible participation with local and state government agencies. Developed by the Center for Civic Education, this program actively engages participants in the process of monitoring and influencing public policy. Participants work as a group to identify and study a problem in their own community. The final project is a portfolio they may opt to present to other classes, community organizations, or policymakers.
