250 Years Forward: Shaping the Future of Civics in Connecticut
Tuesday, March 31, 2026 | 📍 Connecticut’s Old State House
As America marks the 250th anniversary of its founding, there is no better moment to ask: how do we prepare the next generation of Connecticans for a lifetime of active civic participation?
On March 31, 2026, we brought together educators, students, civics practitioners, policymakers, and advocates to better understand the status of civic learning in Connecticut and imagine what a shared commitment to civic education could achieve. We also officially launched the Connecticut Civic Learning Coalition, a nonpartisan effort to elevate K–12 civic education across the state.
